Just Some Recent Projects – March 2021 from Eric the Quilter

Just wanted to drop some images of a couple of canvases I’ve done over the past year and a half. Trust me, I have more, but they still need to be photographed.

Here we have “Aqua” which is embroidery on vintage silk applied to canvas with acrylic paint and lots and lots of polyurethane.

Then we have “Judy in Blue”. Multiple strips of fabric printed and adhered to canvas with acrylic paint and lots of pva glue.

Modern Fabric Photo Printing – I’m teaching this class in August from Eric the Quilter

I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be teaching this fabric and photo printing class at The Textile Center of Minnesota! I’ll be there Wednesday August 5th for the class! I’m super excited! Hopefully I’ll be able to get my classes rescheduled for that week that were supposed to take place this month at The Weavers Guild of Minnesota. I’ll post the class link as soon as I have it!

“I Was Old In The Forest” from Eric the Quilter

This one was quite the journey from start to finish. The photo the quilt was made from was done my a wonderfully talented photographer and artist, Cayton Cox. (Check out his Instagram here.) The quilt itself is broken up into 60 different squares and rectangles. It was kind of difficult, but it was fun watching it all come together. The final size is approximately 40 by 60 inches.
